Poker Shortcuts: FAQs and Troubleshooting
On July 8, 2009, Full Tilt completely changed their software. Poker Shortcuts is being re-written to support their new software, but has not been completed yet.
Also see the Limitations page for known program limitations (and features that have not been updated in Poker Shortcuts yet, since the major FT upgrade).
See the bug list for features that we know are not working correctly yet.

1. Important Notes
Many problems are caused by not having done all of the configuration steps. Please verify that you have correctly configured the software by running through the setup steps listed on the Configuration Page. If that doesn't help, check the troubleshooting tips below.
Many problems are caused by non-standard table modifications that are not compatible with Poker Shortcuts. If you are having any problems, try using a standard table without any table modifications. This software uses image recognition to detect many features on the table, and many table modifications are not compatible with this software. See the Table Modifications section below for more information.
There is a debug mode that is often useful to help debug a problem. To enable it, go to the Display tab and check the checkbox "Enable Debug Display". Then when a table is active you will see a tooltip displaying information about your table. If you see anything unusual, check the trouble shooting tips below or send us an email and we'll help you out.
If you send us an email requesting help, see tips 39 and 40 on this page.
2. Is Poker Shortcuts legal to use?
Yes, we have received confirmation from Full Tilt Poker that Shortcuts is perfectly legal. We will continue to stay in close contact with FT to make sure that Shortcuts stays that way. We have just added the support for Poker Stars, and we have not heard from Poker Stars, but we do not anticipate any problem with Poker Stars.
3. Can I temporarily disable Poker Shortcuts?
Yes, there are several keys that you can use to disable features in Shortcuts:
- Press Control-ESC to disable/suspend all hotkeys used in Shortcuts. This allows you do some operations or press keys without Shortcuts acting on those keys. Press Control-ESC again to re-enable all hotkeys.
- Hold down the any of the keys or mouse buttons that are defined on the Misc tab in the box labeled "List of keys/buttons that will temporarily disable many features". These keys are usually the modifier keys (Shift, Alt, Ctrl, LWin). For example, if you have Alt-o defined as the key to change Deal Me mode, then you can hold down the Alt key, and take your time pressing the o key (several times, if needed), without having to worry that Shortcuts will jump you to another table with pending action.
- Holding the left or right mouse button (if these buttons are listed in the box described above) will prevent Shortcuts from jumping to another table. This allows you to easily move a table by dragging the title bar, without concern that Shortcuts will jump your mouse to another table.
4. How do I know what key code to use (or mouse or joystick code)?
Almost any key can be assigned to be used for features in Shortcuts, as well as many mouse and joystick codes. Check out the information on the keycodes page.
To enter a keycode into Shortcuts, you need to type in the key. For example, if you want to use the F1 key, you need to type "F" followed by "1". You do NOT press the "F1" key on your keyboard to enter this key into Shortcuts.
5. Second Computers: Installing on a second computer or a new computer
You may use the software on two of your own computers. To install on a new computer:
- Download and install the software on your new computer.
- Go to the Reg tab and follow the instructions there. You will need your Software Order Code in order to unlock the software. See the detailed registration instructions for complete registration details.
- If you install and register the software on more computers, then your two most recently used installations will be valid and you will no longer be registered on other (older) installations. You will need to contact us if you try to use an old computer that the software was previously used on.
6. Windows Vista
Vista users: You MUST run the program as an administrator.
- Right Click on the program name (in Windows Explorer) or the desktop icon and select "Run as Administrator". This will run the program ONE TIME as an admin stator.
- OR, to always run this program as an administrator:,
- Right Click on the program name (in Windows Explorer) or the desktop icon
- Select properties
- Select the Compatibility tab
- CHECK "Run this program as an administrator"
- NOTE: If you have UAC (User Account Control) turned OFF on your computer, then these options may be grayed out and you don't have to check the "Run this program as an administrator" option.
Vista users: Poker Shortcuts is NOT compatible with the Vista Aero theme (Aero slows down many programs and interferes with others). To turn off Aero theme:
- Right-click your Windows desktop and select Personalize.
- Click on "Window Color and Appearance. The "Appearance Settings" dialog box will appear.
- In the Color scheme drop-down box, choose Windows Classic, Windows Vista Basic or Windows Vista Standard, and click OK. Aero will now be turned off.
Run PokerShortcuts.exe by clicking (or double clicking) on the program name (or the shortcut icon created for this program).
7. Table Modifications
Poker Shortcuts uses image recognition to "see" what is happening on a table. If your table is modified then some features of Shortcuts may not work correctly. We provide themes for several standard table layouts for Full Tilt and Poker Stars. These themes can be selected on the Setup tab.
Other vendors/companies sell table themes for Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars with some beautiful and artistic table layouts. Check with these vendors to see if they also have made a theme.ini file that works with Poker Shortcuts for their custom themes. Poker Shortcuts may not be compatible with these other themes, unless these vendors also supply the required Poker Shortcuts theme.ini files. Because of the large number of possible table modifications, Windy Hill Technology LLC ONLY provides support for the themes that come with Poker Shortcuts.
See the Theme Documentation for more information on themes.
If some features of Shortcuts is not working correctly, verify that you have the correct table and lobby theme selected on the Setup tab (for the lobby and table type your are using). See the Setup tab documentation for more information.
The following is a list of items, that if modified, can cause problems in Poker Shortcuts:
- Table Felt Colors should be calibrated on the Calib tab whenever they are changed. If you change the background color of your table, simply re-calibrate and your new colors will be saved with the other theme data.
- Empty Seat Colors (Full Tilt Poker ONLY) should be calibrated on the Calib tab whenever they are changed. These colors change if you change to a different background for you table. Poker Shortcuts is not compatible with the following Full Tilt Poker table backgrounds: Beach Scene, Jungle, and Marble. These backgrounds are selected by right clicking on a Full Tilt table.
- Cards (near their top border) can NOT be same color as the table felt color (under the card).
- The font of the stack digits and the pot size digits can NOT be changed (however the color of the font can be changed as discussed below).
- The location and color of the stack digits and pot size digits can not be changed (unless the theme.ini file is changed).
- The background color of the stack digits and pot size digits can not be changed (unless the theme.ini file is changed).
- The digits for the Call amount (on the call button) can not be changed (unless new images are created for these digits and saved in the theme folder).
- The colors and locations of all checkboxes can not be changed (unless the theme.ini file is changed).
- The buttons can not be changed (unless new images are created for these buttons and saved in the theme folder).
- The position of the seats and player's boxes can not be changed (unless the theme.ini file is changed).
- The colors inside the player's box can not be changed (unless the theme.ini file is changed).
8. Dialog Boxes are not closing automatically on Poker Stars
Be sure that you have have configured Poker Stars to use the largest text size. In the Poker Stars Lobby, click on menu View...click on Text Size...select "Largest".
9. SnGs are not automatically opening on Poker Stars
- Be sure that you have have configured Poker Stars to use the largest text size. In the Poker Stars Lobby, click on menu View...click on Text Size...select "Largest".
- Be sure that you have the Poker Stars lobby set to it's smallest physical size. Change the size of the Poker Stars lobby to be set to it's smallest size by dragging on the lower right hand corner of the lobby toward the top left until it's size does not get any smaller.
- Verify that you have ClearType selected in your Windows configuration: Details are here.
10. Problem using unique mice or joysticks. Try determining the key scan code.
The KeyCodes page contains a great deal of information on using your keyboard, mouse and joystick with Shortcuts.
We are not able to support every type of mouse or joystick that is available. Many different types have codes that are unique and are not detectable by our software. Often you can modify the software that comes with the mouse or joystick to allow it to generate "generic" codes that Shortcuts can use. More details are on the KeyCodes page.
One other option is to use a little program called KeyScanCode.exe which you can download and run. This little program will display a Scan Code for many mice and joysticks. Run the software and follow the instructions in the program. You basically press a button on your mouse or joystick followed by the Enter key (on your keyboard). The display will then show the Scan Code (3 digits below "SC"). You can then try using this scan code in Shortcuts for this button.
As an example, let's say that you determine that scan code is 018 for a button on your joystick. Then in Shortcuts, put
SC018
in one of the hotkey boxes on Shortcuts. Then (if all works well) when you press that button, Shortcuts will recognize the button press and perform the desired operation.
11. OSD 1 not working
OSD 1 (stands for On Screen Display) is only visible when it is your turn to act on a table. It is enabled on the Displays tab. The display will show up at the position on the table that you have defined for it on the Setup tab. You can define what is displayed by changing the Color, Font Size, Font, and Custom text on the Displays tab.
If you are having a problem with the values shown in this display:
- To enable this display, check the checkbox on the Displays tab.
- The position of the display is set on the Setup tab. You can define positions that are different for Poker Stars and Full Tilt tables.
- If the display is not working at all, try setting Color=White, Font Size=15, Font=Arial, Custom text=hello world - whenever the fold button is visible, then you should see "hello world" displayed on your table at the position you have set on the Setup tab.
- If you are using Windows Vista, see section above for Vista users.
- If the Pot size value is incorrect, see these tips.
- If the Call value is incorrect, see these tips.
Example of Preflop % of pot calculation:
Let's say that the blinds are 15/30 and you are first to act preflop. A 100% pot raise is calculated like this:
there is 45 in pot now
plus 30 to call the bet, means there is 75 after you call the bet.
To make a 100 percent raise, you need to raise it 75 more.
So the total you have to put in the pot is 105 (75 + 30) to make a 100 % raise preflop.
Note that this is 3.5 times the big blind.
If you were to set the bet size to $60, what percentage of a pot size raise would this be?
It still takes $30 to call, so your raise is an additional $30 more.
Since there is $75 in the pot after you call, your raise % would be 30/75 = 40% of a pot size raise.
12. OSD 3 or 4 are not working correctly
- The software must be able to read your stack size. Jump to troubleshoot.
- The software must be able to determine the number of players and seats at the table. Jump here to troubleshoot.
- If you are using Windows Vista, jump here to troubleshoot.
- If none of these help solve your problem, send us an email with the following:
- Report the results of the above steps. What information was not correct in the Debug Display?
- What size table you are using.
- What type of game are you playing (e.g. NL25, 9 man)?
- Email a screen capture of your table, the debug window, your Display tab settings and your Table2 tab settings.
13. Custom OSD (displays) are not working correctly
If you are having problems getting the custom displays to display what you want, start out by putting some word like "HELLO" in the Custom Text box. If that is not showing up, then make sure that you are seated at the table, and the fold button must be visible for OSD 1 to show up. Try putting 0 in for the X and Y position for this display (on the Setup tab). Erase the values in the Color, Font Size, and Font boxes (on the Displays tab). Default values will be used. Also note that the Custom box is not very wide, and some of text may be further to the right or left in the box. You may have to use the arrow keys to scroll to the ends to see all of the text in the boxes.
14. Slow Response
Most features of this software operate very quickly, but there are a few features that use a little extra cpu time. If you want to see if and of these features are causing a slow response on your computer, you can disable them. They are
- Uncheck "Enable OSD3 for all tables" on the Displays tab. This may show a significant speed improvement if you are playing with a large number of tiled tables.
- Uncheck "Enable OSD4 for all tables" on the Displays tab. This may show a significant speed improvement if you are playing with a large number of tiled tables.
- Uncheck "Preset the Bet Window with the Amount Above" on the Street Bet Ring and Street Bet Trny tabs.
- Uncheck OSD1 on the Displays tab.
- If you are using Windows Vista, do not use the display theme called Aero. It is very slow. See the Vista section above.
- On the Misc tab, you can set the process priority for Shortcuts and the poker client software. Setting these the "High" will give these programs a higher priority over other programs on your computer.
- You may want to turn off "animations" on the poker client, as these use more processor time. You can turn this off on the Full Tilt main lobby, select Options, select Animation, and select Off. In the Poker Stars lobby, select the menu item "Options" and uncheck "Animation".
- If you run Task Manager on your computer and select the Processes tab, you can see which programs are using the most cpu time (under the CPU column). You can sort the display by cpu time if you click on the cpu column. This may give you a clue as to which programs are using the most CPU time.
- Some programs that run in the background on your computer may be causing interference with FT Shortcuts. Snoop Free is one program that is not compatible with FT Shortcuts. Some virus checkers (and other types of protection programs) use a lot of system resources and slow down performance (and interfere with FTS trying to read and write to the Full Tilt table. Try disabling any programs that might be interfering. You can check how much CPU time a program is using in Task Manager (open task manager: control-alt-del, click on the processes tab, click on the CPU column heading, and check for what programs are using a lot cpu time. Typically, Poker Shortcuts uses less than 10% of cpu time, even if a lot of tables are open. If you are using OSD3 and OSD4 on all tables, then the cpu time may average over 20% (if you have tiled tables).
- The Full Tilt lag issue has been discussed on other 2+2 forums. Here is one that may be helpful to you.
- Slow internet connections (such as dial up and Satellite Internet connections) are very slow and will often are not fast enough for running poker applications, especially if you have many tables open.
15. Commands not working
Windows Vista Users: You must run the program as an administrator. Right Click on the program name or icon and select "Run as Administrator". To always run as administrator, Right Click on the program name, select properties, Compatibility tab, check "Run this program as an administrator". If you don't have a desktop icon for this program, open WIndows explorer (Win key + E), navigate to the folder that contains this software, and right click on the program name (FullTiltShortcuts.exe), click properties, compatibility tab, and check "Run this program as an administrator".
If you find some hotkey commands do not work, make sure that you do not have the same key code assigned to more than one command. Check carefully on the Actions1, Actions2, Street Bet, Fixed Bet, and Inc/Dec Bet tabs for duplicate use of the same keys or mouse buttons. For any features that you do not use, simply erase the keycode for that feature. Do not use the Left Mouse Button (LButton) in any of the FTS boxes.
If you are using keys on the numeric keypad you need to use special numeric keypad commands. For example the '+' key on the numeric keypad needs to use 'NumpadAdd' instead of '+'. This is because the numeric keypad keys are different from the keys on the normal part of the keyboard. See the complete key list here.
Your mouse must be over a poker table for most commands to work. Also make sure that your mouse is NOT over any "overlayed text" or HUD item, like a tooltip, on screen display, or text from some other program (like PAHud). This can block some commands from working. Simply move you mouse to a part of the table that does not have an overlay.
Make sure your mouse is over a table and the table is active. Also, be sure your mouse is not over the Chat box area of the table.
16. Active Keys and Mouse Clicks
A poker table must be an active window in order for any of the keystrokes or mouse clicks to be recognized. This prevents these keys from interfering with other programs running on your system. For easy table activation, check the option "Auto-Activate the Table the Mouse is Over" on the Table1 tab. Note that there are two ways to activate this option on the Table1 tab.
Whenever your mouse is over a Full Tilt Table, that table will be activated (highlighted). In order for any of the keys/mouse buttons to work, your mouse must be over a poker table that you want to act on. Additionally, a poker table must be active (but it doesn't have to be the one your mouse is over). These requirements prevent confusion as to which table your actions will take place on. Just make sure you mouse is over the table that you want to act on.
17. SnG Tables are not closing when I finish
If the SnG tables are not closing when you bust out or win them then:
Full Tilt tables (you can use all three of these methods to close tables):
- Check this checkbox on the Dialogs tab:
Close "You Finished the Tournament" Dialog Box". Set the time delay to 3 seconds, or longer if you desire.
If you also check the checkbox "Close Completed Tournament" in this dialog box, then when the dialog box closes (from now on), the table will close too. If you don't check this checkbox, then you can use one of the following methods to close the finished tables.
This method is the easiest way to close SnG tables on Full Tilt. - If you play with stacked or cascaded tables, check this checkbox on the SnG T tab:
"Auto-Close SnG and Tournament Tables that Hero has finished". This feature reads the hand history file to determine when you are finished with a SnG or tournament. You need to have correctly configured the Full Tilt and Poker Stars hand history folder locations on the Setup tab. Check here for instructions.
Note: If you use this feature, you will also need to check the checkbox on the Dialogs tab labeled: Close "You Finished the Tournament" Dialog Box. - If you play with tiled tables, check this checkbox on the SnG T tab:
"Auto-Close SnG and Tournament Tables that Hero is NOT seated".
This only works for tables that are fully visible (not stacked, cascaded or overlayed).
Note: If you use this feature, you will also need to check the checkbox on the Dialogs tab labeled: Close "You Finished the Tournament" Dialog Box (Full Tilt).
Poker Stars tables (you can use both of these methods to close tables):
- If you play with stacked or cascaded tables, check this checkbox on the SnG T tab:
"Auto-Close SnG and Tournament Tables that Hero has finished". This feature reads the hand history file to determine when you are finished with a SnG or tournament. You need to have correctly configured the Full Tilt and Poker Stars hand history folder locations on the Setup tab. Check here for instructions. - If you play with tiled tables, check this checkbox on the SnG T tab:
"Auto-Close SnG and Tournament Tables that Hero is NOT seated".
This only works for tables that are fully visible (not stacked, cascaded or overlayed).
18. Tooltips showing my opponents notes are not visible when I mouse over their player's box
When you move your mouse over a player's box on the table, you should see a tooltip popup that shows the player's notes, their name, and their country (depending on poker site). If you do not see these tooltips, then go to the Displays tab and Uncheck the "Chat Warning Tooltip". The poker software sometimes does not allow several tooltips to visible at one time. Be sure that you understand the purpose of the Chat warning tooltip by reading the information in the documentation about this feature.
19. Bet/Raise values are not what you expect
If you are having a problem with the Street Bet values:
- The most frequent problem is that you need to calibrate the software to your table felt colors. This is accomplished on the Calib tab. Instructions are here. Any time that you change to a different theme or table background, you will need to calibrate the software to your new felt colors.
- To verify that the software is reading what street the table is on (pre-flop, flop, turn or river), check these steps.
- Check below for other bet value problems.
Other bet value problems:
- The software must be able to read the value of the pot. To verify this, check these steps.
- The software must be able to read the value of the call amount (on the call button). To verify this, check these steps.
Some more bet size related issues:
- In the Full Tilt Lobby, check in the Options menu and verify that "Highlight Bet Amount" is UNCHECKED. If this option is checked then it is easy to make an improper bet amount. Pressing the "Enter" when you are typing in notes for a player AND the "Save and Exit" button is highlighted results in placing a bet. I have notified Full Tilt of this, but they haven't changed their software yet.
- NL25 Ring Games: In 10 cent/25 cent ring games, the small blind is not exactly half of the big blind. Try setting the rounding amount (at the bottom of the betting tabs) to be .5 times the Small Blind.
- When you are in the Small Blind or the Small Blind is missing: The software is not able to detect when you are in the small blind or if that player is missing. Consequently, on the preflop street, your bet size is off by one small blind amount. If you are set to put in a 4xBB bet, the software will put in a 3.5xBB bet instead. I recommend using you mouse wheel in increment your bet size (set up on the Inc/Dec Bet tab) and increase your bet size for this one condition.
- When you have unique bet/raise percentages defined: The software rounds all of your bet sizes to be in increments of the small blind (if you have the rounding bet option checked). If the pot is $10 and you are playing at a NL200 table, and your bet is set to 66%, the software will bet $7 for you, instead of $6.66 (rounded to the nearest $1, which is the small blind).
- When rake has been taken out of the pot: The poker site takes money out of the pot for their rake. This amount is still considered to be in the pot for all pot calculations (and all bet/raise amounts), but the amount of the rake doesn't show up on your screen when you look at the amount in the pot. So a 100% pot will be slightly higher than what appears to be in the pot, because this bet also includes the amount of the rake.
Example of 100% raise calculation:
Let's say that there is 100 in the pot and it costs you 50 to call. A 100% pot size raise is calculated like this:
there 100 in pot now
plus 50 for you to call the bet, means there is 150 after you call the bet.
To make a 100 percent raise, you need to raise it 150 more.
So the total you have to bet is 200 (150 to raise + 50 to call) to make a 100 % raise.
To make a 50% raise:
there 100 in pot now
plus 50 for you to call the bet, means there is 150 after you call the bet.
To make a 50 percent raise, you need to raise it 150 times 50%, or 75.
So the total you have to bet is 125 (75 to raise + 50 to call) to make a 50 % pot size raise.
20. Overlapped Tables (Stacked or Cascaded tables)
If you play with stacked or cascaded tables, Poker Shortcuts requires that the Full Tilt tables be in one stack/cascade and the Poker Stars tables be in another stack (if you are using the table activation features on the Table 1 tab). This is because each poker client software will "pop" at table to the front when there is pending action on one of their tables. Since they are not aware of the other poker site, they could cover up a table from the other poker site if tables from each site are mixed in the same stack. Consequently, we recommend keeping two separate stacks, one for each poker site.
Since the software uses image recognition for several things (reading buttons, reading the stack size, checking some checkboxes, and counting the number of players), the software needs to "see" your table. If it can't see everything, then some features will be delayed until the table is completely visible to the software.
If some feature does not seem to be working correctly (when you have overlapped tables), check the trouble shooting tips on this page for that feature to see if that feature uses image recognition.
Shortcuts relies on the poker site software to "pop" a table with pending action to the top of the stack. This should happen automatically when the current top table does not have pending action on it. If you manually activate a table (and bring it to the top), then the poker site should pop it to the top again when it rings it's alarm bell (usually within 10 seconds). Be sure that you have these options set on the poker site software:
- Full Tilt lobby...menu Options... verify that "Display Table on Action" is CHECKED.
- Poker Stars lobby...menu Options... click on the "Advanced Multi-Table Options" dialog box... verify that "Popup table whenever user action is required" is CHECKED.
21. Problem with overlapped tables (cascaded tables)
One customer reported a problem when his tables were cascaded (all layered on top of one another). His top table was not being activated, even though there were buttons indicating that he action was needed (like the Fold, Call, and Bet buttons). We tried many different settings within Shortcuts but we couldn't solve the problem. He contacted Full Tilt Poker and they were able to help him solve this problem. This is what he did to solve it:
"I contacted FTP technology, they got me to send them a directx diagnostic report and then told me to update my video card driver and install DirectX 9 which got it going fine- thought I'd let you know in case anyone else has this problem."
22. Text is too big to read it on the program
If the font size of the text on the program's main window is too large to be readable, you may need to adjust your dpi setting. This program requires that you use 96dpi video setting, which is the standard windows setting. You can set this by going to:
Windows XP users:
Control Panel...Display...Settings...Advanced...select 96dpi
Vista Users:
Control Panel...Personalize...Adjust Font Size (DPI) on the left side of dialog box...select 96 dpi
23. Will the software un-register me from a SnG if a shark sits down (Full Tilt only)?
No, it won't un-register you once you are registered. But, set the "Min # or Registered Players" to 7 and "Max # of sharks" to 0 on the SnG A tab. Then the software will not register you at the table until there are 7 players registered at the table and no more than 0 sharks at the table. Full details are on the SnG A tab documentation.
24. Chat Problems
Your mouse must be outside the chat area of the screen for any keystrokes or mouse clicks to work. When you put your mouse in the chat area, you can then type chat messages and all keys will be typed in the chat box (even if they are assigned to controls used in this script).
If you are having problems with typing in the chat box, there are a few things to keep in mind. When you have the checkbox "Automatically Activate the next table with Pending Action" checked on the Tables tab, the software will automatically jump you to the next table so you can take action there.
Whenever you want to type in the chat box, just move your mouse to the chat area, and that will prevent the "jump" from happening, and you can continue typing. When done typing, move your mouse out again. There is also a key command on the Actions2 tab to move your mouse in and out of the chat area (if you are trying to play without touching your mouse). If you have keys defined for Fold, Call, Bet, etc., you want to make sure that you do move your mouse to the chat area while chatting, else you might type these keys inadvertently while chatting, and instead the software may fold, call, or bet your hand.
25. Error Code 2 at startup or when registering
If you see a dialog box appear with Error Code 2 message, it means the Shortcuts tried to connect to our server and was not able to connect (in order to verify your software order code). The software first tries our main server and then if it does not get a response it will try our backup server (which is located at a different location). This problem is usually related to one of these items:
- Your firewall may be blocking Shortcuts from connecting on the internet to our server. Check your firewall settings or try disabling the firewall to see if this solves the problem.
- Some other protection software (e.g. virus protection software) is preventing Shortcuts from making a connection on the internet. Check the settings on this software or try disabling it to see if that solves the problem.
26. Deal Me Mode is not working
Deal Me Mode works differently in Poker Shortcuts than it does in FT Shortcuts. If you transitioning to Poker Shortcuts, check the documentation here which discusses Deal Me Mode to see the differences.
Deal Me Mode requires that your tables to be visible to detect the buttons and checkboxes on the tables. All of the features of Deal Me Mode will work with tiled tables. Some features of Deal Me Mode will not work with cascaded or stacked tables. Changing the state of Deal Me Mode (to In, Out, or Off) may not work on the tables that are buried, because the software can not see the state of the checkboxes to be able to change the state of these checkboxes. Once you have the state of Deal Me Mode set, the tables will pop to the top of the stack (if enabled on the Table 1 tab), and the software will be able to see the buttons, and consequently can click on the PostBlinds and WaitForBigBlind buttons as needed.
Documentation for Deal Me Mode is here.
If you are having trouble with Deal Me Mode, try these items for a solution:
- Deal Me Mode in Poker Shortcuts works differently than in FT Shortcuts. Check out the documentation to see how Deal Me Mode works in Poker Shortcuts.
- The software needs to be able to detect the buttons on the table. Here are details for fixing problems related to buttons.
- The software need to be able to detect checkboxes on the table. Here are details for fixing problems related to checkboxes.
- If you are having trouble telling which Deal Me Mode you are in, you can enable OSD1, 3, or 4 to show the status of Deal Me Mode. See the documentation here, and search for the Deal Me section.
27. Error Message about HUDs (heads up displays)
If you are seeing an error message in Shortcuts about a possible unknown HUD being on the table, then the following information may solve the problem.
Many programs are placing on screen displays (also called HUDs - heads up displays) on the poker tables. Poker Shortcuts needs to know about the HUDs that sit on top of the poker table, so that the HUDs can be ignored. Each HUD has a class name associated with it, and this class name needs to be listed in the file HudClassList.ini which is in the Settings folder of Poker Shortcuts.
Note that some HUDs cover the entire table even when they are not displaying any information. Poker Shortcuts needs to know the class name of these type of HUDs also.
You can download and use the tool called WinInfo.exe to determine the class name of a HUD. Run this program to see information about the poker table including the class name of HUDs. Put your mouse over a HUD and write down the class name for this HUD. Be sure to copy it exactly as you see it, including capitalization.
Use a text editor (e.g. Notepad.exe) to add your newly found class to the file: HudClassList.ini. You can add a comment line by making the first character of the line a semicolon. Put the class name on a line by itself.
If you do discover a new HUD class, please send us an email with the name of the program and the name of the class. We will then include it with Poker Shortcuts.
Notes:
The following class names are not HUDs, but they are the poker table class names. DO NOT PUT THESE NAMES IN THE FILE HudClassList.ini

28. Can my OSDs and HUDs from other programs be placed anywhere on the table?
No, there are certain places on the table where you should NOT place any HUDs (heads up display) also know as OSDs (on screen displays). Poker Shortcuts needs to do image recognition to see information on your table in a few key areas of the table.
You should NOT put any HUDs or OSDs in the following positions on the poker table:
- Over the square or round checkboxes on the table.
- Over the inner section of the Player's box, which contains the player's name and stack size.
- Over any of the three main buttons at the bottom of the table (fold, call, bet/raise).
- Over the "I'm Back" button on Poker Stars tables.
- Over the "Time" button on Poker Stars tables.
- Over the top 20% of the board cards (i.e. the very top of all board cards need to be visible). Be careful where you place the HUD cards that show the previous hand board cards.
29. What can I do to prevent being timed out at the tables?
Full Tilt Tables
- Check the "Auto-Click the Time Button 5 seconds after it appears (FT,PS)" checkbox on the Misc tab of the software. This feature will click the time button on tiled tables - the time button must be visible on all tables (i.e. does not work if the tables are cascaded or stacked and the Time button is overlayed by another table.
- In order for the above feature to work, the Time button needs to be able to be read by the software. To verify this, see this trouble shooting tip.
- Verify that your tables are tiled and nothing is covering the Time button.
Note: The Time button will ONLY be clicked on FT tables if this button is visible on all tables (i.e. tiled tables).
Poker Stars Tables
- Check the "Auto-Click the Time Button 5 seconds after it appears (FT,PS)" checkbox on the Misc tab of the software. This feature will click the time button on tiled tables - the time button must be visible on all tables (i.e. does not work if the tables are cascaded or stacked and the Time button is overlayed by another table.
- In order for the above feature to work, the Time button needs to be able to be read by the software. To verify this, see this trouble shooting tip.
- Check the "Auto-Click the Time Button 5 seconds after the betting appears (PS only) or the lower right hand corner of the Raise button appears (FT,PS)" checkbox on the Misc tab of the software. This feature will check if the Betting box is present on Poker Stars tables that are tiled, cascaded or stacked (i.e. if the Betting box is present on the table, the tables can be overlapped).
There are some cases where the betting box is NOT present on the table. This can happen if someone has gone all in before you, and your options are to fold or call. The betting box is not present in this situation. If this table is not visible to the software so the software can see the Time button, you run the risk of timing out on this table.
However, there is one other thing you can do if you want to prevent timing out in these somewhat rare situations (which is only an issue with Poker Stars tables and the betting box is not on the table with pending action). If the betting box is not present, the Call button will be visible in the lower right hand corner of the Poker Stars table. If you cascade all of your Poker Stars tables such that the lower right hand corner of this Bet/Raise/Call button is visible on each table (should the call button appear), then Shortcuts will be able to see the presence of this Call button, and then click the Time button for you after x seconds has occurred. If you cascade your tables from bottom left toward the top right of your monitor, that will leave the bottom right hand corner of each table exposed. See the picture on the Misc tab documentation for how to cascade your tables to give you this extra protection from timing out.
- Check the "Auto-Click the I'm Back Button" checkbox on the SnG/T tab (this actually works for both tournaments and Ring games). On Poker Stars, the software will look for this button and if it is visible (e.g. tables not overlapped), then it will click the I'm back button for you automatically.
- If a Poker Stars table has timed out and is buried in a stack of tables (where the I'm back button is not visible), the software checks the hand history file after the hand is over, and if it says that this table timed out, then the software will click the I'm back button for you. You will miss the next hand, but you will be back in there for the following hand.
30. Poker Stars SnGs are not opening correctly
Check these configuration items:
- Make sure your Poker Stars lobby is as small as possible. Drag the lower right hand corner of the lobby to the upper left, until it will not get any smaller.
- On the Poker Stars lobby, click on the menu item View...click on Text Size...select "Largest".
- Verify that you have Clear Type enabled... Instructions are here.
- Be sure your Poker Stars is not covered by other windows.
- On the Poker Shortcuts Setup tab, be sure that you have selected the Poker Stars Lobby theme that you are using.
- On the PS lobby, use the Sit & Go Filter button to configure Poker Stars to only show the SnG tables that you plan to play.
- Poker Shortcuts only comes with images for NL Hold'em SnGs. See the following trouble shooting tip if you want to open a SnG not listed in the drop down box on the SnG A tab.
31. The Poker Stars SnG that I am interested in is not listed in the drop down box on SnG A tab.
Poker Shortcuts is able to open most No Limit Hold'em SnGs that are listed in the Poker Stars lobby. If you want to be able to automatically open another type of SnG (or one that is not listed in Poker Shortcuts), you can add this capability to Shortcuts yourself.
If you want to open a SnG that is not listed in the drop down box, it is possible to capture an image of the text of the SnG listed in the Poker Stars lobby that you want to open, and then put that image in the appropriate theme folder in Poker Shortcuts. Here are the steps to follow:
- Find the SnG in the Poker Stars lobby that you want to open. Click on it to highlight it. Use some program (like SnagIt) to capture an image of the SnG you are interested in. Just include the "Game", "Limit", and Buy-In" in your image. Try to capture just the text, without any extra pixels left, right, above, or below the text. Your image should look something like this if you are using the Black lobby theme:

of like this if you are using the Classic lobby theme:

- Save the image as a .bmp image (bit map) and give it name that matches what the text says in the image (e.g. $12 NL Hold'em [turbo - 180 players].bmp ). Save the image into the folder
c:\Program Files\PokerShortcuts\PSLobbyBlack\SngImages
OR
c:\Program Files\PokerShortcuts\PSLobbyClassic\SngImages
(depending on what lobby you captured the image from: Black or Classic). - Restart Poker Shortcuts, and your new image will show up in the drop down box on the SnG A tab.
32. My stacked/cascaded tables are flickering every couple of seconds.
If you have a table size selected on the Table 2 tab, some very small table sizes can cause your tables to flicker if you have them stacked or cascaded. If you see your tables flickering every 2-3 seconds, try increasing the size (by a few pixels) that you have set on the Table 2 tab. The poker sites have a minimum table size, and if you try to set the size too small, then Shortcuts will continually try to make the table size smaller, and the poker software will prevent that from happening. This ends up causing the tables to flicker as Shortcuts continually tries to adjust the size.
33. Problems with features that "read" the buttons on the table, including reading the Call $ amount off the Call button.
Many features in Poker Shortcuts rely on the software's ability to see the main buttons on the table (e.g. Fold, Call, Time, etc.). In many cases the software uses image recognition to determine if the the buttons are currently present on the table. The software also reads the Call Amount off of the Call button. Tables must be visible (NOT overlapped, stacked, cascaded) in order for the software to "see" these items.
To determine if the software can detect your buttons:
- Sit down at a ring game table.
- Check the "Sit out Next hand" checkbox on the table. The "Deal Me In" or "I'm Back" button should appear on the table.
- Enable the "Debug Display" on the Displays tab.
- A debug tooltip will appear when your mouse is on the table. Check for the "I'm Back Visible" status in the debug display, and it will be "= 1" if the software is detecting the "Deal Me In" or "I'm Back" button. If it shows "= 0", then the problem is usually one of the items described below.
- Then try playing a few hands. The debug display should show when the Fold, Call, Wait For Big Blind (and other) buttons are visible on the table.
- Now check to see if the software can read the value of the Call amount $ on the Call button. When there is a value being displayed on the Call button, check the debug display next to "Call:" and this value should match what is on the actual button. If not, see the items below.
One of the following is usually the problem when the software is not able to read the buttons:
- Verify that you have the correct table theme selected on the Setup tab. The themes that you select here MUST match the type of table you are using on the poker software.
- Verify that you have "English" selected in the poker site lobby (Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker). See the configuration page for more instructions.
- In order for the software to see the state of buttons, the tables need to be visible and not overlapped. If the tables are popping to the top with pending action, then they will be visible to the software.
- There should not be any HUD items from other programs (like Hold'em Manager or Poker Tracker) on top of the buttons (especially near the text of the button). Try to leave as much space as possible around the text that appears on any buttons. The software will not be able to "see" the buttons if they are covered by other items that are placed on top of the table.
- The buttons MUST be standard un-modified buttons that come with the poker site software. Since Shortcuts uses image recognition to "see" these buttons, the buttons must be the same color, size, shape, and font. If you have modified the buttons in any way, then you will need to return them the to original buttons that are supplied with the poker software. There is no need to go any further in the list below if you have modified buttons.
- Set your computer's Display Settings to Colors = Highest (32 bit). Right click on your desktop, select Properties (or Personalize if using Vista), Select Display settings, then set Colors to Highest (32 bit).
- Verify that you have ClearType selected in your Windows configuration: Details are here.
- Full Tilt Poker Only: Them maximum table size is 1119 pixels wide. If your table is larger than this, then the software is not able to read the buttons.
- Poker Stars Only: Them maximum table size is 1220 pixels wide. If your table is larger than this, then the software is not able to read the buttons.
- Full Tilt Tables ONLY: If your buttons are not visible to the software on the smaller table sizes (table widths from approximately 480 to 600), then you may be missing a font that is needed on your computer. You need to have these four fonts in your Control Panel...Fonts. Check there, and if these fonts are missing, you can download them by clicking on the link below. Copy these fonts to your computer and put them in the folder: c:/Windows/Fonts. You will need to reboot your computer after adding these fonts (or at least restart the Full Tilt Software).
- If the buttons are not visible to the software, then there may be some changes to your display properties that has changed the way fonts are displayed on your computer. The software uses image recognition to detect the presence of the buttons, and if the fonts are altered then the image recognition will not be successful in detecting the buttons. Check the following items to remedy this situation:
- If using Win XP AND if you are using ClearType font smoothing (go to Display Properties...Advanced tab...smooth edges on screen fonts enabled), AND if you have used some utility to modify the ClearType characteristics (perhaps using Microsoft's "ClearType tuning" program that can be installed into your control panel... download here), THEN you will need to restore your ClearType settings to default. These defaults are shown here in the snapshot from the ClearType tuning program:

- If you are using Win2000, there may be a problem getting it to work. One user has sent me the button images captured from a Win2000 system, and the images are very different from the images on Win XP. Even after making a custom set of images, we were not able to get Deal Me working correctly.
- If you are using Win Vista, try setting all of your display properties back to default values, particularly any changes to the default values of the ClearType settings. I have not have any reports of problems with Win Vista, but it is possible that anything that significantly changes the way fonts are displayed will prevent the image recognition from recognizing the Post Blind buttons.
34. Problem with reading the checkboxes on the table
A few features in Poker Shortcuts (e.g. Deal Me Mode) rely on the software's ability to see the checkboxes on the table (e.g. Sit Out Next Hand, Fold To Any Bet, etc.). The software uses image recognition to determine the state of the checkboxes on the table. Tables must be visible (NOT overlapped, stacked, cascaded) in order for the software to "see" these items.
To determine if the software can detect the checkboxes on the table:
- Sit down at a ring game table.
- Check the "Sit out Next hand" checkbox on the table.
- Enable the "Debug Display" on the Displays tab.
- A debug tooltip will appear when your mouse is on the table.
- Look for the checkboxes in the debug display.
1 means the checkbox is visible and is checked
0 means the checkbox is visible and is not checked
-1 means the checkbox is not visible (or not enabled) on the table
If these numbers don't match what you see on the table, then the software is not detecting the state of the checkboxes correctly. Check the items below for a solution.
If the software is not detecting the state of the checkboxes correctly, then the solution is usually one of the following items
- Verify that you have the correct table theme selected on the Setup tab. The themes that you select here MUST match the type of table you are using on the poker software.
- In order for the software to see the state of checkboxes, the tables need to be visible and not overlapped. Your tables should be tiled and not stacked or cascaded.
- There should not be any HUD items from other programs (like Hold'em Manager or Poker Tracker) on top of the checkboxes. The software will not be able to "see" the checkboxes if they are covered by other items that are placed on top of the table.
- The checkboxes MUST be standard un-modified checkboxes that come with the poker site software. Since Shortcuts uses image recognition to "see" these checkboxes, the checkboxes must be the same color, size, and shape. If you have modified the checkboxes in any way, then you will need to return them the to original checkboxes that are supplied with the poker software. There is no need to go any further in the list below if you have modified checkboxes. It is possible to modify the theme files that come with Poker Shortcuts to allow Shortcuts to work with different checkboxes. It is technical in nature and is discussed here.
- Set your computer's Display Settings to Colors = Highest (32 bit). Right click on your desktop, select Properties (or Personalize if using Vista), Select Display settings, then set Colors to Highest (32 bit).
35. Problem with reading the Pot size on the table
The software reads the pot size numbers off of the table.
To determine if the software can detect the pot value on the table:
- Sit down at a ring game table.
- Check the "Sit out Next hand" checkbox on the table.
- Enable the "Debug Display" on the Displays tab.
- A debug tooltip will appear when your mouse is on the table.
- Look for the "Pot:" value on the debug display. It should match the value that is shown on the table.
If the software is not detecting Pot value correctly, then the solution is usually one of the following items:
- Verify that you have the correct table theme selected on the Setup tab. The themes that you select here MUST match the type of table you are using on the poker software.
- There should not be any HUD items from other programs (like Hold'em Manager or Poker Tracker) on top of (or near) the pot numbers. The software will not be able to "see" the pot value if it is covered by other items that are placed on top of the table.
- The pot digits on the table MUST be standard un-modified characters that come with the poker site software. Since Shortcuts uses image recognition to "see" these digits, the digits must be the same color, size, and font as the standard table. If you have modified the digits in any way, then you will need to return them the to original type that are supplied with the poker software. There is no need to go any further in the list below if you have modified the digit font. It is possible to modify the theme files that come with Poker Shortcuts to allow Shortcuts to work with different pot digits. It is technical in nature and is discussed here.
- Set your computer's Display Settings to Colors = Highest (32 bit). Right click on your desktop, select Properties (or Personalize if using Vista), Select Display settings, then set Colors to Highest (32 bit).
- Full Tilt Tables ONLY: Verify that in the Full Tilt lobby, menu Options... verify that "Display Pot Total" is CHECKED.
- Full Tilt Poker Only: Them maximum table size is 1119 pixels wide. If your table is larger than this, then the software is not able to read the pot size.
- Poker Stars Only: Them maximum table size is 1220 pixels wide. If your table is larger than this, then the software is not able to read the pot size.
36. Problem reading the hero's stack size.
The software detects several items from information in the player's box, including reading the hero's stack size.
To determine if the software can detect the hero's stack size at the table:
- Enable the "Debug Display" on the Displays tab. A debug tooltip display will appear when your mouse is clicked on the table.
- Sit down at a ring game table. You don't have to play a hand, but just make sure you stack size is visible in your player's box window.
- Look for the "Stack:" value on the debug display. It should match the value that is shown on the table.
If the software is not detecting the stack value correctly, then the solution is usually one of the following items:
- Verify that you have the correct table theme selected on the Setup tab. The themes that you select here MUST match the type of table you are using on the poker software.
- There should not be any HUD items from other programs (like Hold'em Manager or Poker Tracker) on top of (or near) the stack numbers. The software will not be able to "see" the stack value if it is covered by other items that are placed on top of the table. Try to leave some clearance around the stack digits.
- The player's box on the table MUST be standard and un-modified boxes that come with the poker site software. Since Shortcuts uses image recognition to "see" information in the player's box, the player's box must have the same colors, size, shape and fonts as on a standard table. If you have modified the player's box in any way, then you will need to return them the to original type that are supplied with the poker software. There is no need to go any further in the list below if you have modified the player's box. It is possible to modify the theme files that come with Poker Shortcuts to allow Shortcuts to work with different player's boxes. It is technical in nature and is discussed here.
- Set your computer's Display Settings to Colors = Highest (32 bit). Right click on your desktop, select Properties (or Personalize if using Vista), Select Display settings, then set Colors to Highest (32 bit).
- Full Tilt Poker Only: Verify that you have this option set in the Full Tilt Lobby: menu Options... verify that "Auto Center" is CHECKED.
- Poker Stars Only: Verify that you have the preferred seat selected for each table size Poker Stars Lobby. Details are here.
- Full Tilt Poker Only: The maximum table size is currently 850 pixels wide. If your table is larger than this, then the software is not able to read the stack sizes.
- Poker Stars Only: The maximum table size is 1220 pixels wide. If your table is larger than this, then the software is not able to read the hero's stack size.
37. Problem reading the number of seats or players at the table
The software detects several items from information in the player's box, including counting the number of players at the table and the number of seats at the table.
To determine if the software can detect the number of players and seats at the table:
- Enable the "Debug Display" on the Displays tab. A debug tooltip display will appear when your mouse is clicked on the table.
- Sit down at a ring game table. You can "sit out" if you like.
- Look for the "Table Players" and "Table Seats" values on the debug display. They should match the number at the table.
If the software is not detecting the these values correctly, then the solution is usually one of the following items:
- Verify that you have the correct table theme selected on the Setup tab. The themes that you select here MUST match the type of table you are using on the poker software.
- There should not be any HUD items from other programs (like Hold'em Manager or Poker Tracker) on top of (or near) the stack numbers in EACH player's box. The software will not be able to count the number of seats or players if it is the stack digits in ANY player's box is covered by other items that are placed on top of the table.
- Full Tilt Only: Verify that you have calibrated the software to the Empty Seat Colors on the Calib tab of the software. Each table theme that you use needs to be calibrated one time. Follow the instructions on the tab. The documentation is here. The colors that you see on the Calib tab should what you see on the table. There will be some variation in color between the seats (and sometimes there is a wider variation, depending on where the software samples the empty seat color).
- Poker Stars Only: You must be seated at the table in order for the software to be able to count the players or number of seats.
- Full Tilt Only: For Classic table theme, the "Beach Scene" and the "Jungle" table backgrounds can cause problems for Shortcuts at some table sizes. The color of the empty seats vary widely. We recommend not using these two backgrounds (you select these by right clicking on the table).
- Full Tilt Only: For Racetrack table theme, the "Marble" table background can cause problems for Shortcuts at some table sizes. We recommend not using this background (you select these by right clicking on the table).
38. Problem determining the street.
The software detects what the street is (pre-flop, flop, turn, and river), but looking at what board cards are on the table.
To determine if the software can detect the street:
- Enable the "Debug Display" on the Displays tab. A debug tooltip display will appear when your mouse is clicked on the table.
- Open a table where players are playing. You don't have sit down at the table.
- Look for the "Street:" value on the debug display. It should match the street is on the table.
If the software is not detecting the street correctly, then the solution is usually one of the following items:
- In the Full Tilt Lobby, check:
menu Options... verify that "Standard Cards at all sizes" is CHECKED. - Calibrate the software to your table felt colors. This is done on the Calib tab of the software, and it needs to be done for both Full Tilt and Poker Stars tables. Instructions are here.
- There should not be any HUD items from other programs (like Hold'em Manager or Poker Tracker) on top of (or near) the upper section (upper 20%) of the board cards. The software will not be able to "see" the board cards if they are covered by other items that are placed on top of the table. Try to leave some clearance around the top part of the board cards.
Note: Any time that you change to a new theme or table background, you may need to calibrate the software to table felt colors (unless you have performed a calibration before, and then they are saved with the table theme.
39. Sending us complete details on the problem you are having
If you run into a problem with Poker Shortcuts, and you haven't found the answer in the documentation or in the trouble shooing tips on this page, then send us an email with all the details.
There are so many variables and options, that we need to know the specifics of your problem.
In order for us to help you, we often need all of the particulars, including the following items (include those that are relevant to your problem):
- what program of ours are you using?
- what poker site are you playing on?
- what type of tables are you playing (game, type, stakes)?
- are your tables stacked or tiled?
- what are the relevant settings are you using in Shortcuts?
- if you are having problem with particular hotkeys working, what keys/mouse buttons are you using?
- what operating system (XP, Vista, etc.).?
- are you running as administrator if using Vista?
- what lobby theme and table theme do you have configured on the Setup tab?
- tell us if you read the this troubleshooting guide, and what steps you tried.
- what steps do we have to perform to duplicate what you are seeing?
If possible send up a screen capture image with the debug window showing, as described in the next tip.
40. Send us a screen image of the problem you are having
A picture is worth a thousands words... especially when troubleshooting a problem. There are so many variables at the poker table that it sometimes difficult to know which set of variables is causing the problem. Variables include table width size, stakes, table modifications, game type, etc. For example, the following image shows us everything that is going on at the table and the relevant settings in Poker Shortcuts:

To help us diagnose your problem, it is usually very helpful to email us a screen shot of the table and debug window exactly when the problem occurs. Here are the steps to follow. If you have graphic programs available that you know how to use to capture an image, feel free to use them instead. We just recommend that you save the image in .bmp or .png format (jpeg images are often too blurry to read).
- Turn off OSD1 on the Displays tab. This feature interferes with the process described below.
- Enable the debug display on the Displays tab in Poker Shortcuts. You can move the debug display to most positions on your screen by changing the numbers in the XY position boxes. You can even use the debug display to help determine the XY numbers. Just open a poker table and click on it. The debug display will show up on your screen. As you move your mouse around you can see the exact screen position of the mouse by looking at the "MousePos(Screen)" numbers that show up in the debug display. Just move your mouse to where you want the debug display to reside, look at the screen position numbers in the debug display, and then change the numbers in the XY boxes in Poker Shortcuts to those numbers to reposition the debug display.
- Open a poker table, and position it next to the debug display. Be sure the entire title bar of the table is visible (so we can see the table type and blind levels).
- Move Poker Shortcuts in close and select the tab with the settings that are most relevant to the problem you are having.
- Play poker until the problem you are having occurs. Quickly press the Print Screen (Prt Sc) key on your keyboard. This will copy your entire screen image to the computer's clipboard.
- Open the Microsoft Paint program. If is usually located in your Start...Programs...Accessories listing.
- Click in the new image area of Paint to activate the Paint window.
- Press Control-V to paste your captured image into the Paint program.
- You'll need to crop the image down to a reasonable size. In Paint, this takes a few steps. Click on the "Select" icon on the toolbar, which looks like a little "dashed rectangle". Then outline the relevant area of the screen image to be saved by dragging your mouse across the area.
- Press Control-C to copy this selected area to the clipboard.
- Create a NEW image area in Paint by pressing Control-N (click on "No" when asked to "Save changes to untitled").
- Paste the cropped image into the new image area by pressing Control-V.
- Save the image to your hard drive by pressing Control-S and give it a filename of your choice. Select "Save as type" as "24-bit bitmap" or .bmp format. Remember the folder location where you saved this file. If you are using some other graphics program besides Paint, you can save the file in .PNG format, which is a more compressed file format.
- Email this image to us (our support email address is on the contact page). Include a message with as much detail as possible about the problem that you are experiencing.
41. Beep (from the Windows operating system) is heard
There is a known bug in the software where ocassionally the software will beep with a Windows "Default Beep" sound. You can temporaily disable this beep sound in Control Panel...Sounds...Sounds tab...Default Beep...set to "None".
42. The "Key to open SnG highlighted in lobby" is not working (SnG T tab).
- Be sure that you have selected the lobby theme that you are using on the Setup tab.

43. Mouse movement and flickering when buttons are being pushed on Full Tilt.
If you can see the mouse moving to various buttons when Shortcuts is clicking them on Full Tilt Poker tables, try unchecking the "Use Mouse Movement method to click buttons on Full Tilt" checkbox on the Misc tab. Unchecking this will use a different method to click buttons on the FT tables (which may have the side effect of occasionally not always successfully clicking the button). If you are not seeing this mouse movement, then I recommend that you leave this checkbox checked.
