Poker Shortcuts: SnG B Tab

Open Sng B Tab

The SnG B tab allows you to

  1. Manually open a SnG table that you have defined on the SnG A tab, by clicking one of the 7 buttons at the left side of the tab (or using a key/mouse button to open 1 of the defined SnGs).
  2. Continuously and automatically open new Sit-n-Go tables for a specified time period. If you like to play five SnGs at a time, you can set this tab to initially open 5 SnGs, and when one table closes it will open another SnG for you automatically. You can set a timer for how long you would like the program to continue to open new tables. Or you can define the maximum number of SnGs that you want to play, and then the software will stop opening any additional SnGs.
Notes:

There are many settings on the SnG A tab that need to be correct in order for you to open the SnG that you desire.

We strongly recommend that you UNCHECK the checkbox "Auto Click the final Buy In button" on this tab, until you are sure that the SnGs that you desire are opening correctly.

The settings on this tab work closely with the settings on the SnG A and SnG / T tabs.
For automatically opening Sngs, only Hold'em SnGs are supported on Poker Stars (and only two Play Money tables). However, you can use the "Enable Single Click SnG Registering" feature on the SnG/T tab for any type of SnG.

Poker Stars Lobby Setup:

  1. On the PS lobby, click on the menu item "View"...click on Text Size...select Largest. Poker Shortcuts will only work with this Largest text size.
  2. On the PS lobby, change the size of the Poker Stars lobby to be set to it's smallest size, by dragging on the lower right hand corner of the lobby toward the top left.
  3. On the PS lobby, use the Sit & Go Filter button to configure Poker Stars to only show the SnG tables that you plan to play.
  4. On the Poker Shortcuts Setup tab, be sure that you have selected the Poker Stars Lobby theme that you are using.
  5. Verify that you have Clear Type enabled... Instructions are here.

To manually open one SnG:

On the left side of this tab are 7 buttons. If you click on one of these buttons, the software will try to open the SnG you have selected. If the software is not able to (for any reason), to software will not try again, and you will have to click on the button again to try again. The status of the process will be displayed in the status column.

Before using this manual feature, you will need to configure the criteria for the SnGs that you want to open on the SnG A tab.

Note: There is a box on the SnG T tab that define a key/mouse button to manually open Poker Stars SnG 1. By pressing the key/mouse button defined, the software will try (one time) to open this SnG)

To automatically open SnGs:

Poker Shortcuts has a powerful feature to automatically open SnGs and keep a specified number of SnGs open. Basically the steps are

  1. Configure the SnGs that you want to open on the SnG A tab.
  2. Select the SnGs that you want to automatically open by checking the checkboxes that you want to open in the "Enable for Auto Opening" column (near the left side of this SnG B tab).
  3. Select values for the 5 boxes near the center of this tab (as explained below).
  4. Click on the "Start New Session" button to start opening SnGs.

More information on this feature is explained below.

Warning: Be sure your session is STOPPED when you are done playing !!!

# of SnGs to KEEP Open:

In this box, enter the quantity of SnGs you would like to have opened for you (and kept open). If you session is still running when you finish a SnG, then additional tables will be opened for you to keep you at this number of SnGs.

Max # of SnGs to open:

Enter the maximum number of SnGs that you would like to play in this session, and the software will stop opening additional SnGs after this number has been reached for the current session. If you don't want to limit the number, just make this value large (say 50).

Session Time Limit (min):

In this box place the number of minutes that you would like the program to continue to open SnGs for you. For example, if you place 60 in this box, then for the next 60 minutes the program will continue to open SnGs for you until it reaches the maximum desired number (described above). If a table closes, then a new table will automatically be opened. If you do not want to put a time limit on this session, then just make this value large (say 120).

Opening SnG Interval (sec):

This setting determines how often the software will try to open a new SnG for you. If you set is very small, then it will continually pop up SnG lobbies trying to register for it. If you set it too large, the software may not check often enough and a table may fill up before it is checked again. I recommend a setting of 3-15 seconds, but you can easily adjust it to your own preference.

Inactivity Timeout (min):

This is a safety feature that will stop opening SnG tables if the program detects that there has not been any mouse or keyboard activity for the number of minutes set in this box. For example, if some emergency takes you away from your computer and you decide to just ignore the tables you have open, this feature will stop opening new SnG tables after this number of minutes. You can disable this safety timer (not recommended) by setting the value to 0. A reasonable value is to set this setting to 2 minutes.

Session Buttons:

There are four buttons that control the process of automatically opening SnGs.

  1. Start New Session: Clicking this button will start the process of opening SnGs. The session will continue until your manually stop it, until the time limit you specify is reached, or until the maximum number of SnGs you specified is reached.
  2. Pause: This will keep your session running, but will temporarily stop opening SnGs (until you press Resume).
  3. Resume: This allows you to resume opening SnGs in the current session.
  4. Stop Session: This will stop the session, and no further SnGs will be opened.

Auto Click the final Buy In button when Session is Running:

This is an important checkbox! If you check this checkbox, the software will automatically click the final buy-in button during the SnG registration process when the Automatic opening Session is Running.
IT WILL COMMIT YOUR MONEY!!
Only check this checkbox after you have confirmed that the Poker Shortcuts software is opening the SnGs that you desire!
