Poker Shortcuts: Actions1 Tab

Actions 1 tab

This tab contains key and mouse codes for many often used items at the poker table. I recommend that you try defining keys for the top three items.

Enter the keystroke or mouse button codes that you want to use to perform these actions. See the summary on of code information on the tab, or see the KeyCode page for complete details.

Click Left Button:

If you define a key/mouse button for this item, then that key will click the main left button. This applies to most buttons at the left of the three main buttons on the poker table (e.g. Fold, Check, Muck Hand, Post Big Blind, etc.). You may like to use the f key (that is, f for fold). I personally like to use the s key for this and the d key for the middle button and the f key for the right hand button. Then my left hand is placed on the normal position on the keyboard and I use those three keys for the three main buttons in the same left to right configuration.

Enable the key at left to toggle the pre-action Left Checkbox (Check/Fold or Fold):

If this checkbox is checked, then pressing this same key will TOGGLE the pre-action Check/Fold or Fold checkbox (when it is visible)

You may prefer to NOT check this checkbox, and instead use individual keys for checking these checkboxes (as defined below). If you do use this checkbox, you have to be careful that the software does not activate a different table with pending action right before you hit the Fold key. In this case you could be doing a Fold on a different table from the one you expected. Disabling this checkbox (and using the individual keys for toggling these checkboxes instead) prevents this from happening.

Click Middle Button:

If you define a key/mouse button for this item, then that key will click the main middle button. This applies to most middle buttons such as Call, Show Hand, Wait for big blind, etc. If the Call button is not visible, this will click the Check button (one of the Left buttons).

Enable the key at left to toggle the pre-action Middle Checkbox (Check or Call):

If this checkbox is checked, then pressing this key will TOGGLE the pre-action Check or Call checkbox.

You may prefer to NOT check this checkbox, and instead use individual keys for checking these checkboxes (as defined below). If you do use this checkbox, you have to be careful that the software does not activate a different table with pending action right before you hit the Call key. In this case you could be doing a Call on a different table from the one you expected. Disabling this checkbox (and using the individual keys for toggling these checkboxes instead) prevents this from happening.

Click Right Button:

If you define a key/mouse button for this item, then that key will click the main right button. This applies to such keys as Bet, Raise, and Sit Out.

Toggle pre-action Check/Fold:

Applies to the pre-action checkbox "Check/Fold" or "Fold" that appears on the table before action gets to you. I recommend using a Shift key (e.g. Shift & f) for this feature, because holding down the shift key will prevent your mouse from moving to another table (if another table with pending action becomes the active table. Holding down the shift key prevents another table from becoming active). This gives you time to press this key before some other table becomes active (if pending action is occurring on another table and this feature is enabled on the Table1 tab).

Toggle pre-action Check/Call Checkbox:

Applies to the pre-action checkbox "Check" or "Call" that appears on the table before action gets to you. I recommend using a Shift key (e.g. Shift & c) for this feature, because holding down the shift key will prevent your mouse from moving to another table (if another table with pending action becomes the active table. Holding down the shift key prevents another table from becoming active). This gives you time to press this key before some other table becomes active (if pending action is occurring on another table and this feature is enabled on the Table1 tab).

Toggle pre-action Call Any Checkbox:

Applies to the pre-action checkbox "Call Any" that appears on "limit" tables before action gets to you.

See the section called "List of keys/buttons that will temporarily disable many features" on the Misc Tab for some tips on defining Shift and Alt modifier keys. These modifier keys can be used to temporarily disable Shortcuts while you are pressing keys on a particular table.

Toggle pre-action Raise Min Checkbox:

Applies to the pre-action checkbox "Raise" that appears on "limit" tables before action gets to you.

Toggle pre-action Raise Any Checkbox:

Applies to the pre-action checkbox "Raise Any" that appears on "limit" tables before action gets to you.

Clear Betting Window:

This key will clear the bet box, so that you can easily enter in another bet amount.

Toggle Fold to Any Bet Checkbox :

This key clicks the "Fold to Any Bet" checkbox.

Important Notes:
These action keys can be assigned to a single key on your keyboard. If you want to enter these same keys in the chat box, then you must move your mouse to the chat area.
If you often enter chat messages, you may want to assign multi-key keystrokes for these action keys, so that you don't have to move your mouse to the chat area. For example you could assign "Alt & F" for Fold. Or assign F1 for fold, since F1 is not something that you type in the chat box.
Warning: If you assign single key keystrokes for the action keys, and start typing thinking that you are entering a chat message (and you forget to move your mouse to the chat area), you might end up calling an All In bet if you happen to type the C key (and other costly errors are possible too). So consider carefully if you want to use single key keystrokes for these action operations. Also see the "Enable Chat Box Warning Tooltip"on the Displays tab.
