1. Is FT Table Opener legal to use on Full Tilt Poker?
Yes, we have received confirmation from Full Tilt Poker that Table Opener is perfectly legal. We will continue to stay in close contact with FT to make sure that Table Opener stays that way.
Table Opener only uses data from the Full Tilt Poker Lobby to determine which tables to open. Full Tilt has made it clear that it is not legal to data mine or use data from tables on which you have not played. See this page on the Full Tilt Poker web site for more information.
2. Registration Issues
Software unlocking and registration instructions are here.
The procedure for installing on a second computer is the same as installing on the first computer. Registration instructions are here.
If you encounter problems on the Reg tab trying to unlock your software:
- Be sure that you copy the Software Order Code from the email we sent you correctly and that it is 32 characters long.
- If you get an error when you click on the "Get Unlock Code" button, it usually means that the software is not able to open a browser on your computer. Go to http://www.windyhilltech.com/php/reg.php to manually get your unlock code.
- Your Software Id Code and your Software Unlock code should both be 16 characters long.
- Don't forget to click on the "Unlock Software" button after you enter the codes.
- If these suggestions don't help, send us and email to our support address listed on the support page.
3. My software has become unregistered
This is usually a problem (for Windows Vista users) if you didn't set the program to always run as administrator. See the instructions in the Vista section below to set the software to always run as administrator.
If you continue to have a problem with the software unregistering, try this test:
- Exit the program and restart the program 10 times. Each time you start the software, go to the REG Tab and see if the "Software Id Code" ever changes. It should remain the same each time you start the program.
- If the "Software Id Code" ever DOES change, then send us an email telling us that you have run this test and you have your software set to run as administrator.
- If the "Software Id Code" DOES NOT change, then click on "Get Unlock Code" and request a new unlock code. The normal registration process should work ok.
4. Windows Vista Users
If you see a dialog box that says "No serial number returned from GetDiskSerial.dll", this almost always means that you are not running this software as an administrator.
If you software becomes unregistered, this is usually because you are not running the software as an administrator.
You must run the program as an administrator. Right Click on the program name or icon and select "Run as Administrator". To always run as administrator, Right Click on the program name, select properties, Compatibility tab, check "Run this program as an administrator". If you don't have a desktop icon for this program, open Windows explorer (Win key + E), navigate to the folder that contains this software, and right click on the program name (FullTiltTableOpener.exe), click properties, compatibility tab, and check "Run this program as an administrator".
Our other product, FT Shortcuts, is not compatible with the Vista Aero theme (it slows down some programs and interferes with others). Consequently, I recommend that you turn of Aero mode. To turn off Aero theme:
- Right-click the Windows desktop and select Personalize > Window Color and Appearance.
- Click Open classic appearance properties for more color options.
- In the Color scheme drop-down box, choose Windows Classic, Windows Vista Basic or Windows Vista Standard, and click OK. Aero will now be turned off.
5. No tables are opening when I click on Start
- Check that you have the Full Tilt lobby set up to the type of tables you want to open. See the Full Tilt Poker Setup.
- Be sure to only put numbers in the criteria boxes in FTTO. No "$" are needed.
- If you are running Vista, be sure you run FTTO as an administrator. See FTTO Setup.
- The Full Tilt software must be running in English. FTTO does not support other languages.
6. Poker Tracker is not collecting hand histories
This is usually a setup problem. See Full Tilt Poker Setup and Poker Tracker Setup
7. How can I open tables starting at the other end of the alphabet?
You can click at the top of the "Table" column on the Full Tilt Lobby, and this will sort the tables in alphabetical (or reverse) order. You can sort the FT Lobby bases on any of the columns to change the way that FTTO opens tables (FTTO always tries to open tables from the top of the list going down.
8. Second Installations: Installing on a second computer or a new computer
You may install the software on two of your own computers. To install on a second computer:
- Download and install the software on your new computer.
- Go to the Reg tab and follow the instructions there. You will need your Software Order Code in order to unlock the software. See the detailed registration instructions for complete registration details.
- If you had already installed the software on two computers you will be asked to fill out a form that will be emailed to us and we will email instructions back to you.
9. Can I run Full Tilt Poker and FTTO in two user areas of the same computer?
This is probably in violation Full Tilt's Site Rules, where they state "Players are not allowed to create, use, or deposit to more than one account". Opening more than one Full Tilt Poker client on one computer would require the "use" of a second Full Tilt account. Consequently, we don't provide technical support for doing this.
10. Text is too big to read it on the program
If the font size of the text on the program's main window is too large to be readable, you may need to adjust your dpi setting. This program requires that you use 96dpi video setting, which is the standard windows setting. You can set this by going to:
Windows XP users:
Control Panel...Display...Settings...Advanced...select 96dpi
Vista Users:
Control Panel...Personalize...Adjust Font Size (DPI) on the left side of dialog box...select 96 dpi
11. Sometimes all of the tables do not minimize or close
When minimizing or closing tables, FTTO "looks" at the table to see if the hero is seated at the table first. If a table is currently covered by another table or window, and there happens to be a white visible area over where the "Auto Post Blinds" checkbox is, the software may not minimize/close this table as it will see the white area and interpret this to mean that the hero is seated at that table. The solution is to not have tables overlapped by any other windows.
12. The software doesn't open as many tables as I expect
You should only have one group assigned with the same values in the 4 primary criteria: "Big Blind / #seats / Table Type / Table Options". It is not possible to have 2 groups with these 4 items the same in each group and just change the "average pot size" in the two groups. The software will count the same tables in both groups, and you will not be able to open very many tables. When counting the number of tables open in each group, the software only looks at Big Blind, #seats, Table Type, and Table Options to determine the number of tables in that group.
13. Waiting List Problems
FTTO will close tables if some closing criteria is met, even if you are on the waiting list for that table. It will then open another table, but you will still be wait listed on the first table. If the first table becomes available, Full Tilt will open a dialog box informing you that the first table is available to join. But if you already have 18 other tables open, and try to join this new table, you will get an error from Full Tilt saying you have too many windows open.
Unfortunately, Full Tilt uses the exact same button name (FTCSkinButton15) for both the Join and Leave Waiting list, so FTTO can not tell the difference between the buttons to know which is present on the table.
My suggestion is to leave one table that you don't join the waiting list. When one of the table available dialog boxes pops up, then manually close the "dummy table" first and then join the table that you were wait listed for.
